Smiths Detection Inc. Announces Support for Five New ThanksUSA’s “Pathway to Tech/Stem” Scholarships

Edgewood, Md.– Smiths Detection Inc. (SDI) announced it will support five new scholarships through ThanksUSA’s “Pathway to Tech/STEM” program, whichwill provide educational opportunities to military spouses and children seeking hard-to-fill science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) degrees and careers. The Pathway to Tech/STEM program was co-founded by SDI, a US subsidiary of Smiths Detection.

SDI is a longtime supporter of ThanksUSA, a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing college, technical and vocational school, need-based scholarships
for the children and spouses of U.S. military personnel.  Since 2006, ThanksUSA has awarded nearly 4,000 such scholarships with a total value of $12 million.
