Mixed portable battery streams contain a growing range of chemistries, formats and conditions. Labels may be missing or unreliable, while damaged, degraded or partially dismantled batteries and packs can be difficult to identify from their external appearance alone.

CIRQURA for Batteries is a modular, AI-powered characterisation and sorting solution for mixed portable batteries and battery packs up to 5kg.
The solution combines high-resolution X-ray and visual imaging, AI-powered classification and automated separation.
As each item passes through the system, structural and visual data is analysed to assign it a chemistry classification. A digital record then directs it through the appropriate sorting route.
