New Managing Director Appointed at Smiths Detection Middle East

Ed Christie has been appointed the new Managing Director of Smiths Detection Middle East, succeeding Vatheeri Chandrahood.

Ed Christie brings with him an outstanding track record managing and delivering large scale civilian and military aviation projects since 2010 at Cavotec Middle East where he was Middle East Aviation Divisional Manager.

Previously, he was Sales & Marketing Director at Energy International / Energy Aerospace in Abu Dhabi and Dubai from 2006, responsible for managing the sales teams, in-house engineering and procurement.

As Managing Director, Ed Christie will lead Smiths Detection’s sales efforts in the region and will be responsible for the overall leadership of the Smiths Detection Middle East team, based in Dubai.
