With the ability to generate 3D images and examine bag contents from every angle, CT technology is undoubtedly an exciting prospect for the future of checkpoint security. It is the only technology which can currently meet C3 (and in the future C4) compliance to the European Explosives Detection Systems for Cabin Baggage standards. But is it always the right upgrade choice? This paper explores the options.
