Measures to support accessibility
Smiths Detection is committed to ensuring improved digital accessibility across our site, so that disabled users and users requiring assistive technology are able to interact fully with our content.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Smiths Detection is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level A. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Limitations and alternatives
We are currently undertaking the process of rebuilding our website in order to ensure our code and content is fully compliant with AA WCAG standards, and, where possible, AAA standards.
