Integrated systems

Smiths Detection integrated system solutions enhance situational awareness and assist security professionals and responders in understanding and operating more effectively in a threat environment.  Our expertise in providing integration solutions enables users to maximise the benefits of current response protocols, defence conops and security infrastructures as well as easily adapt to new technology.  Our specialized areas of focus include:

Sensor networks Early warning alerts, data mapping, single view of operations, enhanced communications and reporting systems for X-ray, cargo and CBRNE sensors provide users with an increased understanding of their environment.  This greater understanding is critical to be able to manage communications and data most effectively, while keeping response time, costs, and loss associated with CBRNE incidents to a minimum.

Vehicle & platform systems
We provide a range of solutions from deployable and dismountable equipment on robots and in vehicles, to manufacturing complete CBRNE mobile response and detection fleets. Our flexibly packaged solutions can be customised to fit unique mission requirements, to provide users with a better understanding of environments encountered.

Collective protection systems
Mobile collective protection (ColPro) and disaster response medical systems are essential to our home fronts as well as in theatre operations. Such systems, stand alone or networked, provide forces with capability for a mobile contamination free working environment for medical, combat services, and combat service support personnel.

Meteorological systems Smiths Detection’s meteorological (MET) measuring systems provide ground forces with timely and accurate environmental data occurring throughout the battle space.  MET data also enables artillery accuracy and helps to minimise collateral damage by providing comprehensive situational awareness of atmospheric conditions that can impact weapons system selections, tactics, and targeting solutions.
