The IlluminatIR infrared microscope accessory brings the power of chemical analysis to light microscopy. This compact high‑performance Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Spectrometer transforms a commercial light microscope into a versatile infrared microprobe by interfacing to a modern infinity‑corrected light microscope. The IlluminatIR creates a powerful system that provides instant chemical information and superior visual quality without compromising any of the microscope’s original capabilities.

Gathering chemical information has never been easier. Whether your training is in traditional microscopy or spectroscopy the IlluminatIR gives you the independence to easily and conveniently perform material identification and characterization. Simply center the sample
in the cross-hairs, select the area to be analyzed, collect the sample’s spectra and read the results.

The IlluminatIR system, driven by SynchronizIR software, automates and simplifies spectral data collection, analysis and reporting. SynchronizIR software gives users the ability to collect visible images and infrared spectra sequentially and store them together in an industry standard database format. This enables users to build detailed customized reports and supporting images and spectra using standard word processing software.
