More than 38,000 Smiths Heimann X-ray inspection systems have been supplied to more than 150 countries, enhancing security by screening mail, baggage, merchandise, containers and trucks for government departments, transport authorities, airlines, industrial and commercial companies, prisons, courts and service providers.
Additional technologies are applied to screen people for dangerous items concealed by their clothng, ranging from traditional but highly sensitive metal detection arches and wands, to the latest development in millimeter-wave technology - the Tadar portal.
