Security operatives should be provided with optimal technical support to facilitate speedy yet diligent security inspections. However, only an efficient interaction of X-ray technology and operatives can lead to highly effective security measures. In the course of the HiTraX development, the HI-MAT Plus method has been dramatically improved.
The X-ray image resolution in the color gradation of the material representation has been increased. Therefore all represented materials are much better distinguished in color. As a consequence, even small material distinctions become visible and the perceptibility of image details is raised. Since the sensitivity of the human eye varies with the wavelength (color) of light, the color representation has been adapted to the  human eye.
The result of HI-MAT Plus is an X-ray image offering a transparency and detailed resolution unrivalled on the security market.
