The Enhanced Chemical Agent Monitor (ECAM) is a hand held instrument designed to detect, search for and locate Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA) on personnel, equipment, vehicles and on the ground.
ECAM incorporates a removeable dopant source, enabling the user to scan automatically for both blister and nerve agents. Equipped with an additional 'PLUS' mode further agents can be detected.
ECAM is one of several variants of CAM which are now in service with more than 30 countries worldwide, serving the military, civil and first responders.
