TravelIR II
PORTABLE CHEMICAL IDENTIFIER
Feature Highlights
- Small footprint; easily portable
- Simple operation with minimal sample preparation
- No user calibration required
- ReachBack 24/7/365 Technical Support
The TravelIR II is a rugged, portable FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared) analysis system that is easy to use and provides fast and accurate answers. It’s small footprint, sturdy all-metal construction, and sealed housing make it ideal for use in a wide range of locations and environments. At under 22 pounds, the system is light enough to be carried to the incident. Although it cannot be used in the Hot Zone, samples can be collected using the sealable pressure device in the Hot Zone and transferred to the system for analysis.
The TravelIR II is a highly specific tool that measures how chemical samples interact with infrared light. Each chemical has its own unique infrared fingerprint, which when analyzed by the TravelIR II is compared against an onboard library database to provide identification in less than 20 seconds.
Database libraries include:
• WMD—nerve & blister agents
• Toxic industrial chemicals
• White powders
• WMD precursors
• Common chemicals
• Forensic drugs & Clan Lab precursors
• Explosives & propellants
The easy-to-use SpectrAssist software allows all levels of users to operate the instrument with minimal training while ensuring accurate and verifiable results.
