- Hand-held monitor for the detection of nerve, blood, blister and choking agents
- Rapid response to very low levels of agent concentration
- Ergonomic and rugged design for operation in a wide range of environmental conditions.
- Proven and reliable - more than 70,000 in service around the world.
The Chemical Agent Monitor (CAM) is a proven product - the first mass produced, reliable hand-held chemical monitor for the detection of nerve or blister agents or liquid agent contamination. More than 70,000 CAMS have now been deployed and are in service with Armed Forces, civil defence personnel and first responder organisations worldwide.
The CAM is a highly effective and easy to use CWA and selected TIC monitor. The auto switching feature gives CAM the added capability to continuously and automatically scan between Positive (nerve agent) and Negative (blister, blood and choking agent) modes.
Designed to carry out and access the contamination level of personnel, vehicles, munitions and stores to prevent cross-contamination and avoid unnecessary decontamination. The unit can also be used to confirm that the threat has passed; decontamination procedures have been effective and the area is clean..
CAM is a trade mark of Smiths Detection
